Before you pay
Do I need a card to start?
No. The Free plan opens a workspace without a payment method, and you only meet a checkout when you pick a paid plan. Nothing upgrades itself, and no trial expires under you.
Do you bill per seat?
No. Each plan is one flat price for the whole workspace — $19, $49 or $99 a month, or two months free when you pay for the year. Inviting a teammate does not change the invoice. Plans do carry a seat allowance, so a full workspace gives you the limit message below rather than a bigger bill.
Can I change plan later?
Yes, up or down, from the billing area in your workspace. Paddle is our merchant of record, so the plan change, the invoice and the tax on it all run through the same subscription — you are not re-buying the product at a different price.
What is the refund policy?
A 30-day money-back guarantee on your organisation’s first paid subscription, returned by Paddle to the method you paid with. Renewals after that one are not covered, and cancelling stops the next charge rather than refunding the period you are in. The Refund Policy is the full version, including EU and UK withdrawal rights.

What happens when I hit a limit?
The action is refused before it is written, and the message names the thing you ran out of and the plan that raises it. Nothing you already published comes down, nothing is deleted, and you are never billed for going over — the write simply does not happen until you upgrade or clear room.
Is the release loop included on Free?
Yes. Free starts the loop: you can publish updates in-app and collect votes, requests and replies. Pro is for closing the loop — once the connected GitHub and SMTP path is in place, Releaseo can tell the voters and followers already attached to the roadmap item when the work ships.
Where is my data hosted?
EU or US. Releaseo runs regional infrastructure so data is processed nearer where it came from, and we will confirm in writing which region your workspace sits in — ask at [email protected]. Contact-inbox messages are encrypted at rest, and there is a GDPR erasure API for deleting a single end user on request.
What happens to my public site if I cancel?
Cancelling stops the renewal, not your access. The paid plan runs to the end of the period you already paid for, and then the workspace falls back to Free — your posts, roadmap items, requests and articles are not deleted by that change. A custom domain is a Pro feature, so if the site was answering on your own domain, point the DNS back before that date.
